duck shooting poem

Duck Shooting Poem

Ducks, Gunpowder and Wild Bush

The lake is flat today.

It is like a sheet of ice.

Wild bush surrounds the lake hiding the Mai Mai.

The mai mai is brown and camouflage.

The covering camo net is ripped and green.

A duck swoops past quickly.

It cringes at my shooting.

But still quacks as its lured in.

Bang, my gun fires.
Gunpowder smelling like smoke.
My big barrelled shot gun drops the fat duck, as I shoot from the run down mai mai.

The duck spirals down like a rugby ball.

Bang as another duck drops into the lake,  bang another duck drops.

Ducks dropping dangerously!

Duck shooting is a great sport.
